Hazi Mofijuddin Kabiraj Memorial
Foundation since its inception in the year 2002 started literacy
campaign among the rural population around Babla,Kamalpur, Bhagabatipur,
Meherapur, Jote-Gopal Kagmari, Kasim-Bazar, Mothabari, Birampur,
Rathbari, Bangitola, Panchanandpur area. This foundation has been
providing commendable service in the field of education since its
establishment. Since, then, Md. Abdul Malek, the Secretary of the
organisation {With the active support of Naima Sultana (President) & Mr.
Narendra Kumar Roy (Vice President) with Tushar Kanti Poddar (Financial
Organiser) came forward to spread education in Uttar Dinajpur & Malda
District.
In every year foundation organizes the health care programme among the
people i. e routine immunization of child and mother, free medical
treatment camp, pollution control camp etc. The foundation organizes
awareness program for rural sanitation, effect of Thalassemia and
drinking water. In every year foundation organizes blood donation camp
in a massive way. Each year foundation organizes cultural programme for
entertainment to the local People. School students and artist are
participated and present their performance. This year in the month of
August-2017, foundation done massive relief work among the severe flood
affected people of Malda and Uttar Dinajpur District.
The foundation is successfully running a child academy (From Nursery to
Class Eight) in the name of Uttar Banga Public School (Co-ed) since
2007. It also running to two teachers’ training Institutes to produce
quality teacher. One at Itahar, Uttar Dinajpur in the name of Moulana
Abul kalam Azad Teachers’ Training College (B.Ed & D.El.Ed) Estd. 2005 &
2016. Another at Kamalpur, Malda in the name of Uttar Banga Women B.Ed
College (B.Ed) only for girls’ student established on 2008.
